How long should it take to prepare and complete Exam 70-270? I have experience dealing with XP Pro from previous Jobs. My newest employer wants me to become MS Certified and has asked me how long it would take me to get my first certification. I reviewed the skills that will be covered, and i have a good/well understanding of most of the topics, only a few i have questions on, and even then i'm pretty sure i know how to do it.
70-270 Exam is fairly easy compared to other Microsoft Exams. How are you preparing for this exam? Are you taking a classroom training or Self-Placed learning Kit? If you take a classroom training you can be ready to take this exam, as quick as 1-2 Weeks. If you go with Self-Paced training kit, you shouldn’t spend more than 3-4 weeks for this exam. Since this is your first exam, I would strongly recommend you purchase MeasureUp sample exam. If you purchase the Self-Paced Learning kit, set of sample exam will be included but those may not be current, so I would recommend purchase the latest set from the website.

- When will Microsoft make a Windows 7 exam ala 70-620 for Vista or 70-270 for XP?I am currently preparing to upgrade my MCSE for Windows Server 2003 to an MCITP: Enterprise Administrator for Windows Server 2008. Part of that upgrade path is taking the 70-620 exam for Vista. I am wondering if I should hold out for a Windows 7 exam to hopefully be future compatible toward whatever the certification will be for whatever server OS comes after 2008. Does anyone know when MS will release an exam for Windows 7 and if it will be usable towards the MCITP: Enterprise Administrator for 2008? Thanks.

- Clarify MS Press book required for 70-623 MCITP certification I am considering doing the MCITP 70-623 certification. I have bought the Microsoft Press recommended text book MCITP Self paced training (70-623) :Supporting and troubleshooting apps on a win vista client for consumer support technicians. A[[erently this is all I need, but I am not sure. In the text book it is not clear if it covers the pre requesite exam 70-620. According to the MS Prep Guide they only refer to this text book but it is not clear to me whether I need to now purchase the text book for 70-620, do that exam first and then start studying the 70-623 text. Can someone please clarify this? Thanks
- Does 70-621: upgrade MCDST to MCITP count as Elective for MCSE ? Here is the certifications I passed, and I can say the Design Exam (297) is the most difficult exam I ever passed (in my life). The first one I passed was the 70-215 6 years ago, but that was still on Windows 2000. Then I passed them in the following order: 271, 272, 621, 270, 290, 291, 293, 297. Now I believe I only need 294 (core) to become MCSE certified. But a teacher told me today that my 621 may not be elective, as it is not really a 620, but just an upgrade. That scares me, I am preparing the 294, and really hope it is the last exam I have to prepare to be finally MCDST, MCITP, MCSA, and MCSE.
