(38 views) - I am new to Microsoft certification . I recently just finished an excel 2007 class at a community college and find it so useful and really fun. I want to get a certification and have a few questions I hope someone can help me with...
1. When I looked at the Microsoft certification site it lists all the exams that you have to take under the MOS for example there's excel, word, access...do you have to take all 5 exams to get the MOS certification? or can you just take one and be a certified MOS in excel.
2. Does MOS have 2007 versions?
3. Is each individual exam 125 dollars? or is the MOS certification 125 dollars for all 5 exams?
4. What is the difference between MOS and MCAS?
5. Is one more valued than another in the eyes of employers?
(78 views) - i'm taking exam 83-640 (Server 2008 AD configuring) and i'm doing this next to my normal school. So besides an internship i had for 6 months i have no experience working with it on a day to day basis.
I cant find anywhere what to expect of the simulation part since its under the non-disclosure agreement. I had no real worries passing 70-640 because i could just learn the book and practice on my VM's at home. But with 83-640 I dont know about that. I've practiced a lot with VM's and I can do stuff like create AD objects, make GPO's, make GPSI, and im working on trusts/sites so i hope that is the stuff they want... But if they ask me to configure a complete AD CS configuration...i dont have the experience for that.
i need some info on what to expect (not details on what was asked but more how advanced the things are they ask, is it basic stuff like DNS and creating users or is it more advanced like implementing AD CS, AD RMS or AD FS?)
