- On microsoft website, i noticed : "Candidates should have at least two to three years of developing experience".
Is that necessary for 70-536? Im a graduate student, can i still sit this exam?
(55 views) - I have been using .net for 3 years , but only about 1 year full time, I have also graduated for university obtaining a Bachelor of Information Technology mainly focusing on C# and .net. I am looking to expand my qualifications so I've come to get certified. The site says a good recommendation for my first exam is Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework – Application Development Foundation.I am mainly looking to get Web Development certifications. However, I only want to do this by the self learning process. My questions are, is this a good exam to start with?
And if I purchase the self learning book how long should I allow myself to learn the book to pass the test? I plan to study about 15 hours a week.
Also, are the questions all just multiple choices in the exams, or other?
(53 views) - i thought the MCTS was kind of an upgrade to the MCAD. As the MCAD can become a MCT. wouldnt it be "logical" that MCTSs can become one, too?
But if you are new to the "certificates business" you can as a programmer only become a mct with the mcpd. the other two ways (mcad, mcsd) are certificates for 1.0 and 1.1 and are retired.
but there are no books for any of the PRO certificates (i work as a teacher and windowsforms and asp.net for 7 years) or any other kind of learning materials.
so i could try to pass one of the pro certifacetes w/o learning or i am not able to become a mct in the field of programming??/
(81 views) - try to do my MCTS in MCTS (.NET 3.5 and WCF) areas. However I am worried about the time till when the certification would last valid in terms of technical advances in .NET.
I have started studying and hope to complete MCTS sometime before this year end as I have to manage work and study both. I am confused that by the time I would be MCTS in these areas, would they be still upfront in the industry? or I would have to run for an upgrade.
I can understand that technologies change very fast, but would it impact my certification?
(34 views) - i'm taking exam 83-640 (Server 2008 AD configuring) and i'm doing this next to my normal school. So besides an internship i had for 6 months i have no experience working with it on a day to day basis.
I cant find anywhere what to expect of the simulation part since its under the non-disclosure agreement. I had no real worries passing 70-640 because i could just learn the book and practice on my VM's at home. But with 83-640 I dont know about that. I've practiced a lot with VM's and I can do stuff like create AD objects, make GPO's, make GPSI, and im working on trusts/sites so i hope that is the stuff they want... But if they ask me to configure a complete AD CS configuration...i dont have the experience for that.
i need some info on what to expect (not details on what was asked but more how advanced the things are they ask, is it basic stuff like DNS and creating users or is it more advanced like implementing AD CS, AD RMS or AD FS?)
(184 views) - is it still worth ( I mean in 2009 and 2010) to pass 70-536 and 70-528 exams ?? work as a software developer (mostly MS CRM 4.0,sometimes ASP.NET ) and we mostly use ASP.NET 2.0 so I believe there best solution is to pass 70-536 + 70-528.
(60 views) - Exam 70-620 :does anything body have recommendation on a book would do lab practice for this cert?
(40 views) - can I sit the 70-446 if I have 70-431 cert already, or do I need the 70-445 mcts
(144 views) - I am desigining and developing databases for past 5 years, but never bothered to write exams. I have experience with access, sql server 2000,2005 and 2008. Part of my job also includes writing server side code[SP], few DBA duties.
After doing bit of reseach about microsoft exams, I understand Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) of SQL server is the highest certificate you can get. Am not interested about Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA) at the moment.
Pre Requesties: MCITP: Database Developer, MCITP: Database Administrator, MCTS: Database Developer, MCTS: Database Administrator
So to start up the path i wanted to take MCTS Exam 70-433: SQL Server 2008, Database Development. Preperation material for this exam includes "Classroom tarining/ E courses and Books". At the moment I cant effort any class/online training, except reading MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit book and practise skills they measure in exam. Just wondering is it really a must to go thorugh with training to be sucess in the exam? How you people noramaly approach such situataion?
I also came across thirdparty training material such as TestKing, etc offering guranteed sucess. Is it worth buying them?
Aslo can you please give me a resources explaining the actual exam format or demo or any further reference or study materials
